Also, you'll find that Simmons enjoys creating Sporting Art, Waterfowl paintings, and Wildlife Art, too, along with capturing the marvelous Door County landscapes and seascapes we all love. Wayne Simmons wants to meet with you to share his ideas on art and his love of the out of doors and above all else, his love of dogs.

Mission Statement

In 2009 a book entitled "The Story of Jules Verne, A Watch Pocket Dog" was introduced with little fanfare to the dog lovers of this world. The medium format coffee table style book was written and illustrated by artist Wayne Simmons and it is the true story of this man and his first ever bird dog. His wife Grace named the skinny foundling of questionable pedigree, "Jules Verne", for reasons known only to she and her husband. Wayne Simmons loves dogs. He loves working with them, training and playing with them, and sharing unforgettable experiences in the field with them while hunting upland game birds. Naturally, for Simmons nothing could be more appealing or rewarding than to dedicate his life to capturing the absolute essence of the creatures he loves most in beautiful oil paintings .

Located just outside Ellison Bay on a picturesque and historical Wisconsin farm you'll find this charming, highly rated art studio and gallery that displays the original artwork and prints of the gallery owner, Wayne Caldwell Simmons.
